<div class="site-info">
<?php do_action( 'twentyfourteen_credits' ); ?>
<a href="<?php echo esc_url( __( 'http://wordpress.org/', 'twentyfourteen' ) ); ?>">
<?php printf( __( 'Proudly powered by %s', 'twentyfourteen' ), 'WordPress' ); ?></a>
</div><!-- .site-info —>

Adding your custom footer message:

To add your own custom link and message like “copyright to my website” then copy below code and paste where you remove above code from “footer.php” file then update your file and check your website,

<div class="site-info">
<?php do_action( 'twentyfourteen_credits' ); ?>
<a href="<?php echo esc_url( __( '<strong><span style="color: #ff0000;">http://mywebsite.com/</span></strong>', 'twentyfourteen' ) ); ?>">
<?php printf( __( '<strong><span style="color: #ff0000;">Copyright ©</span></strong> %s', 'twentyfourteen' ), '<strong><span style="color: #ff0000;">mywebsite</span></strong>' ); ?></a>
</div><!-- .site-info -->

Note: Avoid hiding code method 1 because spammers use this code #site-info {display: none}   to hide some links and google do not like this so it can affect your SEO ranking in google search engine.
